CursiveLogic

My 6-year-old son recently expressed interest in learning to write in cursive. Naturally, I'm very supportive of this, but it's been surprisingly hard to make cursive writing approachable to him. Repetition of individual letters is kind of boring, and without some "quick wins" it's hard to keep him motivated.

Linda Shrewsbury encountered these same challenges when tutoring a young adult as part of a local literacy program. In response, she created CursiveLogic, a teaching method that breaks the journey to cursive writing down into four clear and approachable lessons.

She has now launched a Kickstarter campaign to produce the CursiveLogic workbook at sufficient scale to make it cost-effective to more people.

As cursive writing instruction fades from school curricula everywhere, grassroots efforts like this fill an important void.
